Spring Carnival

What a day!

We got up this morning to realize our washing machine was broken. Tim (a.k.a. father fix-it) came to check it out. He couldn't fix it (which means it is REALLY broken!) so they left and we all headed to the Yorktown Spring Carnival where we were in charge of working Morgan's class booth for an hour. I had also been the calling chair for her class to call and get all of the volunteers. The carnival is the main fundraiser for the year and is nice because it means we don't have to do any other fundraisers! I let Morgan & Emma help at the booth by collecting tickets while Chris walked around the carnival with them. When Morgan decided to stand in the mile long line to get her hair streaked, Chris decided I could go with her and he'd work the booth. As you can see below, we had a Plinko game. It was cute!

Here's Morgan the carnie.

Emma giving it a shot. She won a tattoo.

After the carnival, we came back home to get Carter who had stayed here with my mom. We opened up the garage door and there was a big box where the van usually parks. Chris and I looked at each other both equally confused. It occured to us both at almost the exact same time that his parents must have gone and bought us a new washing machine and then brought it back! We jumped out of the van and ran up to the box and it was empty....so we went inside and it was all hooked up and running with a load already in it!!!!!!!! We are so spoiled!!!!! We were also so grateful. We had already discussed how we were probably going to take laundry over to my mom's house to do laundry for a month until we had enough money NEXT payday to go buy a new washing machine!

don't parents rock...sometimes you don't even have to voice your wishes...they just know, what a blessing! Glad your day turned out well and you had fun being carnies!
