Our weekend....

Our weekend started with a bang on Friday morning when Morgan woke up around 5am telling us that her tummy hurt which was closely followed by her throwing up twice. She didn't go to school but then of course felt totally fine by about 11:30! We had promised the girls we'd take them to Chuck E. Cheese's that night for being so good while taking their Christmas card pictures so since she acted just fine, we went ahead and went. It was surprisingly tolerable! We actually had fun. (Did I just say "fun" and "Chuck E. Cheese" together?)

Saturday, Chris had to work his annual holiday promotion in the morning so the girls and I decided we'd do our annual holiday cookie making. We had fun making the cookies and cutting out the shapes, etc.

Of course, it is a requirement to lick the beaters. Even though this was just the part of the dough that was only butter and powdered sugar....bleah!
Emma had it all over her nose and mouth when she was done!
One sprinkle for the cookie, one for me, one for the cookie, one for me.

Mighty colorful no?

After we were done making the cookies, got cleaned up and ready to go to the Muncie Symphony Orchestra concert at Emens. We also got our family pictures taken beforehand in a special deal they had arranged. (Click here to see it!) It was fun and the concert was neat. The kids loved it. We decided to leave when they announced that the intermission would be 30 minutes long. Thought that would be a little long for Carter to hang out. Emma stayed with my mom to watch the rest and Chris and I took Morgan and Carter back home.

Before we left for the concert while Morgan was getting ready, she came upstairs saying that her tooth was bleeding. She had hit it on Emma's shoe (not while it was on her foot, by the way) it was literally just hanging there so I mouthed the words "can you get that out?" to Chris from across the room so he non-chalantly tried to get Morgan to let him "look" at it. No dice. She was onto us. It took a few minutes, but it did finally get out with some help from Daddy before we left. She was so proud.

Sunday, we went to church as usual and then rushed home, ate and changed clothes to make it to Morgan's extra cheerleading practice by 1pm (the recital is in a couple weeks) We came home and rested for a few minutes before going back with Emma at 4. Chris stayed home with Carter and watched the Colts play!

Going to be a busy few upcoming weeks before Christmas and we're really looking forward to it! Remember the true reason for the season this Christmas!!!
