Saturday morning, we all got up and everyone chipped in to get the house ready for the party. We started the party at 2pm. Here is our traditional family shot by the cake photo!
The cake, complete with odd clown sculptured out of icing. (Tia, is this a wreck?)

Then the party began! Here is Carter hanging out with Nana and some milk.
Carter's cousin, Hudson Ewing, age 9 months. (and no....its not George Michael on the TV, its Wham! on the 80s station!)

Hudson getting some tips on how to open gifts so he'll know in a few months!
Opening some presents...this one was bath bells that Carter loved! (look at the smile on his face!)

Daddy was very proud that Carter was showing obvious mallet abilities.

"Ta-daaaaaaaa"

And then it was time for the cake!!! Here, Carter is asking "why does everyone keep signing that song to me?!"

Really? The whole cake is for me? I can grab it? Are you sure?

Well, maybe just a little taste.
Hmmmm....SUGAR! Ok, if you insist...I'll have a little more..

Carter had quite a gift opening audience! Here are Morgan, Emma, friends Victoria, Hayden and Hayley, and cousins Haley and Hannah.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Schuler sent a gift from Florida so we took a picture of Carter with it and he got all shy.

After the party, Chris' parents and sister and our niece all went out to Carlos O'Kellys to eat where they even gave Carter his own fried ice cream for his birthday! It was a super fun day!

How blessed are we for happy family birthdays???

Happy Birthday to Carter! It goes so fast doesn't it. Oh, and I think that might qualify as a wreck. You should send it in!
