1 year pictures!

Have I mentioned that I can't believe my BABY is 1? We will never again have a BABY in our house! (well, at least for a good 20+ years when the grandkids arrive) When we made the decision that he would be our last, I really thought I'd be sad at this point and maybe even regret my decision to have my tubes tied. I'm thrilled to say that was wrong. I am still quite certain that our family is complete. It feels complete. It is such a nice, comforting feeling to know that we are the family that God wanted us to be....no more, no less. Here are Carter's 1 year pictures.....

This one is so cute because he started crying and we didn't know why....we quickly figured it out (See next picture)
See the big red bump under his left eye? Poor baby had poked himself in the eye with that number 1. I said "awwww" You can totally tell which ones were taken pre-poke and post-poke due to the red welt. Poor thing.
The one below is the one I picked for his "up the stairs" year photo. This one is going to be a 10x13 and hung right next to the 2 of his sisters at 1 year looking almost identical! (Except, of course, they have on a little girly hat and he does not) Check out those eyelashes! My mom wants everyone to know that he gets those from her (if you know me well, you'll get that joke)

We also had Carter's 1 year well-baby appointment (this is the last time its called well-baby, after this its well-child!) He is 25 pounds, 1 oz and 32 inches tall. This puts him between the 95th and 100th percentile in height and in the 60th for weight. He's definitely quite a bit taller than all of the other kids his age....and even many who are twice as old! He gets that from his Daddy!!

Stay tuned for the 18 month pictures!! (ack)

woah, look at that boy...He is just about Maria's size, she was 27 lb and 32 3/4 inches last month at her 18 mo. check up! And I thought she was heavy to carry...guess I should be glad she wasn't that big at 12 mo. She was only 20 lb and 30 inches. Looks like Thanksgiving was fun for you! Hope your Christmas is great!
